One Moment More

 Click Above!
Still not sure why I can't link youtube OR photobucket to my blog...anyone know if something is going on???
If I could say anything to my baby it would be these lyrics -besides 'I Love You.'
One Moment More
Give me
Just one part of you to cling to
And keep me
Everywhere you are
It's just enough to steal my heart and run
And fade out with the falling sun

Oh, please don't go
Let me have you just one moment more
Oh, all I need
All I want is just one moment more
You've got to hold me and keep me

Tell me that someday you'll be returning
And maybe
Maybe I'll believe
It's just enough to see a shooting star
To know you're never really far
It's just enough to see a shooting star
To know you're never really gone

Oh, please don't go
Let me have you just one moment more
Oh, all I need
All I want is just one moment more

Oh, please don't go
Let me have you just one moment more
Oh, all I need
All I want is just one moment more
You've got to hold me and maybe I'll believe

So hold me
Even though I know you're leaving

Letters to Beck

(Thank you to Aubrey for making this BEAUTIFUL stocking and being a great friend!)

Last year someone gave me the wonderful idea ( I believe it was our SIDS therapist but could be wrong) to have everyone and anyone write letters to Beck to fill his stocking.  I was so worried that he would have a empty stocking - I knew the loneliness of the stocking hanging empty would bother me.  Anyways, everyone in the family participated.  THIS year I thought it would be a great idea to open it up to EVERYONE...I have had many emails over the past year expressing their feelings for Beck and how much he has influenced their lives, parenting, etc.  I thought it would be a wonderful idea to have those that want to write a letter to him (or draw a picture - as my kids and cousins do!).  I would LOVE to see a FULL stocking this year...knowing that Beck made a difference and touched so many people's lives makes missing him a bit easier!

Thank you to everyone who has supported our family through these 16 months - we appreciate EVERYTHING!!

There are 2 ways you can write a letter.  1) You can just email me the letter and I will print it out and place it in a envelope myself (ashleyelder82@gmail.com) OR 2) email me and I will send you my address and you can send an already sealed envelope (just please write on it that it is for BECK) which will not be opened to respect your privacy.

I cannot express how wonderful it was to wake up last Christmas morning and see all these letters - it was touching to know that people thought about him and took the time to write a letter.

Anyways, THANKS in advance.

My Little Girl

 Happy Birthday to Addie!
My baby girl came into this world 4 years ago today.  Wow.  From day one she has made me completely happy.  She is a joy.  She has a contagious smile.  She has a heart of gold.  Addie has the ability to turn a horrible, sad day into a cheerful one.  I know I've said it before but I honestly don't know if I would have made it this past year without her.  She allowed me to baby her...cuddle her...and has told me words of wisdom countless times.

She was born on a Tuesday evening.  Everyone expected her to be born fast because the past deliveries went fast once the induction started.  My doctor wanted to just "watch" things and see if I progress on my own...so it turned into my LONGEST labor, not painful at all though.  After feeling EVERY amount of pain with Bray, I told my doc that I didn't want to feel ANY pain - and the doc did good :)  I got my epidural before anything started and never felt one ounce of pain - yah!  The moment she was born she was laid upon my chest and I remember thinking how adorable she was...she was so tiny!
Addie was a very sick child.  She was a momma's girl probably because she never felt well.  She was a great baby.  She was quiet (hm, isn't that way anymore).  She always wanted to follow her older siblings around.  She thought she was a big girl from the beginning.  She was easy to take anywhere.  I remember shopping with her, taking her to the zoo, swimming, etc. in tow with the other 3 kids and thinking how unbelievably EASY it was.   She was always happy as long as she was involved with whatever was going on.
Addie was so fun when she got to the "walking" age.  She was a little clumsy BUT loved climbing up and down (and back up!) the stairs ALL DAY LONG.  She was very active.  She use to make the stink face (see in the pic below) and it was SO funny - she would make it if she was mad...happy...angry...or just sitting around.  It was the funniest face!
Everyone was so nervous when it was time for her to become a big sister.  I have to admit that she was a spoiled rotten baby girl (and probably still is).  Thinking that she was my last, I gave her everything she ever wanted...mostly my attention.  The neat thing was...she loved Beck.  She took care of him.  She was always wanting to hold him, help him and LOVED calling him, "My baby."  I do think things happen for a reason and I think that Beck and Addie had a special relationship up in Heaven...she probably promised him that she would be EXTRA nice while he was here because everyone needed to spend every moment of time with HIM...she was amazing during his 4 months.  She was the BEST big sister to her baby.
This year I have seen SO much improvement in her growth from a toddler into a big girl.  She is talking so much and has the neatest things to say.  She has a VERY sarcastic humor about her.  She loves to laugh and make others laugh.  She is a ray of sunshine in our home.

Love you my Add-a-Licious!!
So...she got to have a party this year.  She was SO excited to share her birthday with her friends.  Too bad that I planned it Thanksgiving weekend and most of her friends were out of town - but we have a great time with everyone that could make it.  We had a VERY relaxed party making candy necklaces and play with play-do.  Once the party was over I overheard her say, "that was the best party," to herself while she was getting her shoes on.  Totally cute!  Here are pictures from her birthday party.

Family Thanksgiving 2011

We, basically me, spent the morning baking, cooking - while Jed slept.  Then we headed over to Beck's grave to visit and express what each of us were thankful for.  We then met up at my parents house to spend the afternoon visiting and eating some yummy food.  My sister and her husband came to town to visit and it has been wonderful to be with them.  My kid's adore them both!!  The day definitely wasn't perfect - my heart ached a bit - but it was nice to spend time with family and remembering everything we have been blessed with.

My Beautiful Kid's

Boucing Tiggers **Video**

A wonderful thing is a Tigger;
A Tigger's a wonderful thing.
Their tops are made out of rubber,
their bottoms are made out of spring
They're bouncy, bouncy, bouncy, bouncy,
fun, fun, fun, fun, fun,
The most wonderful thing
about Tiggers is:
I'm the only one!

New Girl Scout

My Bray- Bear started Girl Scouts this month.  She is so excited to do it and be involved in a troop.  I feel a little guilty that I am not helping out in her troop but Tay's keeps me busy enough :)
