I can't believe...

October is here! Wow, time sure flies by. I wish it would slow down so that I can feel like I am not missing every little minute that my kids grow and change...which brings me to my 6 month mark on "breaking-down" each child...here goes!

Zeke
He started Kindergarten this fall and seems to be enjoying it very much. He has a really good teacher that is so soft spoken and easy going that it has been a real change to home...totally opposite. I think it has become a good balance for him...he gets the LOUD noise and strict rules from me at home! He has made some really good friends over the summer at his camp that has carried over into school, most of them ended up being in his class. It seems that his "best friend" at the moment is Carsen, although, it does change quiet often. His favorite thing to do at recess is...get this...CHASE THE GIRLS!! :O I was shocked when he told me that was what they did. His favorite color is green. He is into playing with action figures and enjoys playing ANYTHING with his sisters. It's actually pretty funny because yesterday I caught them running around outside...the girls were screaming and Zeke was growling, and so he tole me he was a gorilla and the girls were "pretty ladies" that he wanted to eat. Don't know where they come up with this stuff...but we did visit the Zoo last week. He is so excited to be 6 this month and can't wait until he has "two hands" (because you need 6 fingers to show how old he is). Zeke is my all around greatest thing. He is such a great help to me and he loves his sisters. He has a sweet and sensitive heart...buuuuut he does know how to push buttons on EVERYONE. He is the greatest gift that Heavenly Father could have given me...all I ever wanted to be was a mother...and I got the best LITTLE BOY!
Tatum
What can say about my Tator Tot? She is FULL of energy. Gladly, she started preschool this fall. She loves everything about school. She has made some good little friends and adores her teacher. She tells me all the time 'my friends at school really want to play with me.' She actually has this one little girl that cries until Tatum shows up in the morning and then her mom can leave, weird...but cute! She is such a little mommy...I mean that LITERALLY! She is TOTALLY obsessed with having babies, nursing and being pregnant. Of course, she has to act out everything...I made the mistake of letting her watch Adleigh's birth video ;( and now she will "push" the baby out and "nurse" her baby...not sure if I should be concerned. Anyways, she has gotten to the point where she says EVERYTHING on her mind...for instance, we were at the mall and this teenage boy, who was obviously a BIG kid, walks by and Tatum had to point this out to everyone, she kept saying, "Dad, he is HUGE, look at the HUGE boy," and after we started to hush her up, he ends up sitting right behind us and she has to tell us one more time about how huge and big this kid was. Luckily, I don't think he heard. And then last week, we were at the mall again and waiting in line and the employee was an older women who had grey hair with a headband...so Tatum starts pointing and says "Mom, what is with her hair," I was confused and so I just said that she had a headband on and she asks again and I answer her the exact same...she gets all quiet and then says, "No, mom, she has grey hair, all of it is grey." I give her the look to be quiet and she drops the subject but then like 2 minutes later she yells, loudly, "that lady is a witch, she is a witch with all that grey hair!" Talk about embarrassing!! So Tatum is just growing up into a beautiful little girl, she is taking dance classes still and seems to enjoy them. Again, she is such a big helper...although, she would rather help Dad then me! Tatum can just make anyone happy with her sense of humor and wild personality.
Braia
I still can't believe my teeny tiny baby is all so big and almost 3. It seems like yesterday that I was so worried about her...and Jed and my dad giving her a priesthood blessing to help...wow, she is a blessing. She was in such a rush to get down here and her attitude hasn't changed. She thinks she is Tatum and Zeke's age and gets very frustrated when she doesn't get what they got. Although, she is VERY sensitive...she can get her feeling hurt over anything. If you look at her wrong, she will cry. She is starting to talk like a big kid. She stuns me all the time when she uses complete sentences and big words. She is always afraid to be left out, when I get out of the car, she has to tell me, "don't leave me" and I finally got her convinced somewhat that I wont leave her and so now she says, "you wont leave me...right?" hehe Bray has been having a hard time since her siblings have left for school, she tells me that she will get to go when she is 3...and so yes, I promised that after her birthday I will enroll her at preschool as well...not sure what I will do with only ONE child at home! FREEDOM Anyways, she still LOVES to eat and likes to be read to. She is also starting to become pretty feisty, she isn't letting Tatum or Zeke push her around anymore! Our Braia Bear is such a blessing each day in our family, she makes us smile, laugh and feel loved!
Adleigh
Add-a-licious as we all call her because she is so sweet that you just want to eat her! She is 10 months old now and still NOT crawling or anything. She does do the army crawl and is SUPER fast...seriously, if she see's something she wants, She GOES! She is a little handful though, very stubborn and screams if she doesn't get something. She has 8 teeth and enjoys using them to eat. She is a spoiled baby...she will "crawl" over to the stairs and put one hand up on the stair and grunts...and basically that means "I wanna go up there and if you don't take me up there I will scream and scream until I get my way." Lots of fun ;) She is also starting to talk or babble, she says Hi and Dad or Daa...and she has now put them together, so she will wave and say over and over, "Hi Daa, Hi Daa, Hi Daa" and the other day I think I got jealous that she will only say Dad that I sat down while she was rambling her Hi's...and I started to wave back and say, "Hi Mom" and she stops and gets a really mad face and grunts out "ahh" and so I stop and decide to say, "Hi Addie" and she does it again and then slaps my legs...so puzzled that I wasn't sure why she was getting so mad...until I said, "Hi Dad" and she gets all excited and starts waving and rambling again...little stinker. She is still really small...no one ever believes she is as odd as she is. We love her and definitely feel like our family wouldn't be complete without our Addie Cat!

Camping for the FIRST time since...Zeke was 18mos. Old :O

Estes Park, CO
Rocky Mountain National Park

There were ELK everywhere when we arrived - it was so coolJust wanted to show how BEAUTIFUL Colorado is...I think Jed was more excited to see them then the kids were.Notice the guy's arm in the white T-shirt in the upper right corner - that is how close this idiot was to the Elk - he did get in BIG trouble from the ranger because I guess they will attack people if we get to close - but Jed pulled up right beside him and was telling me to take a picture and I couldn't because I was so scared that he would lift his head and honestly it would be sticking inside our car - no thanks on that one! This ELK just decided to cross the street as we were driving - he wasn't gonna stop for NO ONE. At our site - Addie was starting to have a hard time - she was freaking out about where we were, I guess ???
The kids found rocks to climb, which was nice because it kept them busy.
My girlies!
My baby!
Sitting by the fire at last...it took Jed awhile to set up the tent because by the time we got there and got to the site after watching the ELK it was starting to get dark and Jed...forgot...FLASHLIGHTS!
Braia wasn't so sure of what we were doing - she kept telling me "I don't like this camping thing - I'm scared."
Sweet

Waiting for Marshmallows!
Such a big help!
THE NEXT MORNING...
Exactly how we ALLLLLL felt the next morning - if Adleigh wasn't screaming, then someone had to go the bathroom...then (not sure of the time) but we realized that all the kids had climbed into our sleeping bag...which was pretty tight but it was also sooooo cold and we didn't bring enough blankets. Addie woke up every hour to let out a scream and then we would lay back down asleep but it would wake up the other 2 girls - then if no one was making a sound - the ELK started bugling(sp?) as LOUD AS THEY COULD (seriously it sounded like they were right next to our tent).Jed packing up...we were to tired to go hiking which was our original plan but everyone was crying and upset about everything - so we ate, packed and left...
Braia bear - bundled the best we could - we didn't have coats (bad mom award for today!)

Tatum got her feelings hurt because she couldn't help Jed cook and we found her sulking on a rock!
When Adleigh realized that we were getting in the car - her crying turned into this...a happy content baby girl! The kids
Again - just wanted to share how beautiful Estes Park is! So pretty!
At last...the PRINCESS sleeps...just as we pull into our garage ;(

We got a singer in the family...

Okay, so those of you that have talked to me since we visited Logan in Aug....know alllll about my obsession with SINGSTAR (it's REALLLLY bad) Anyways...I guess Adleigh is falling into my footsteps because she LOVES to sing. She just holds ONE note but it so cute and she gets all excited when I pull out the microphones. Soooooooo I am turning my child into the loser that I am...seriously I would sing all the time if I had the time!!

Misc Pictures that I found on our phones that I totally forgot about...

Adleigh sleeping
Tatum walking to her first day of Preschool - can you see the excitement!?

Me in Vegas - I kept sending Jed pictures of me so he could show the kiddos - haha
Jed in Utah - I thought he looked good in this pic ;)
Okay - Adleigh is like 6 months old or so - swinging for the first time (believe it or not...I didn't have my camera and had to use my phone)
What a sweetie!
Tatum acting - well - like herself!

Broomfield Days

Something I look forward to every September...Broomfield Days in like a "carnival" or something like that - it has food, games, rides, animal stuff, and most businesses that are in that city have a booth and either sell or talk to the crowd. Anyways, we always have a lot of fun.
My Addie - who didn't get to do much but chew on mom's phone.
Here is Tatum in the Jump House.
Braia, Zeke and Tatum jumping

Zeke

Braia
Braia got scared and Daddy had to go up and go down with here, hehe
Waiting in line...

Our Breckenridge Trip...

As we drove there it was raining and then we saw 3 beautiful rainbows!!

Jed at the Salt Creek Steakhouse - it was soooooooooooo quiet during dinner that it felt weird - silence is not something we hear around our house!
Me

We went to Silverthorne for some shopping before heading home.
It was a nice short trip that we desperately needed but we were excited to come home and see our kids - but our kids on the other hand, didn't miss us a bit and according to my parents they begged them not to bring them home to us ;(

My sister...

I know that I already posted about Lindsey's wedding but I found this picture and thought she looked amazing and wanted to post it. I love how it's an "action-shot" (as I call them).
Just wanted to tell her I LOVE YA!

BRECK- from our kids!

Breckenridge, CO
Okay, so I know it's not winter but for some reason I could NOT find a FALL picture of Breckenridge...anyways, Jed and I are headed up there on Saturday...ALONE. Something that has NOT happened since Zeke was born. Needless to say, we are VERY excited to have a QUIET break from the constant noise at our house. So thanks to my parents for "offering" (or me begging) to care for my WONDERFULLY BEHAVED children (at least they better be...I have threaten their toys if they are not)! ;)

This is for you...MOM

I Owe It All To Mother!
It’s your birthday, Mom. So I will raise a cheer. For without you, wondrous person, I would not be here.
Yes, I owe it all to you, Mom. From the time that I was small, You encouraged me in everything, And tried not to let me fall.
Throughout my life your caring, Brightened each and every minute. You loved me and enriched my life, And I’m so glad to have you in it!

I just want you to know how special you are to my family and me. You are a great example to me as a mother. You are the BEST grandmother to my children and they love and adore you. I know that we had a VERY rocky relationship in the past but I look at you now as my best friend...Don't know what I would do without you...I love you!
I hope you have a WONDERFUL day...and HAPPY 50th BIRTHDAY!!
