My friend, Becky, came over for a play date with her 3 kids.
I met with the PTO staff to go over the fireside party I am planning. Did I mention that I like to punish myself!! Anyways, we decided on going with a disco theme…so…FIRESIDE DISCO BLAST…I am actually way excited and it has been a little less stressful then I thought it would be planning it for the whole school.

Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2010
The 3 older kids went to school today. It has been such a treat spending some one-on-one time with Adleigh, I think she really needs to extra attention. We are able to practice more of her speech this way.
I had a doctor’s appointment to check on the possibility of Downs. Luckily, everything had fixed itself and I am been “released” from the high-risk doctor…FINALLY!! I did get some great 3D pictures of his face…I am so excited to meet him, now if we could just come up with a name!

Jed had the Castle Rock Test today; he did really well in the written and physical test. Now we just have to wait to be contacted for the Oral Boards, I hate this waiting.
We watched the Cannon kids tonight so that their parents could go out. It was a lot of fun; our kids get along so well together. The boys disappear into Zeke’s room and the girls play nicely downstairs. Easy!

We started our taxes today, very important when we have been unemployed for 6 months 

Thursday, Jan. 28, 2010
I broke down and got Zeke a cell phone. I have been worried about leaving him after school and having no way of contacting him to make sure he makes it to his activities. It has been such a a relief having the extra phone!
The 3 older kids had school today!
I met my friend Wendy and her son at the Broomfield Rec Center so that our little ones could play and we could talk.

TATUM IS FIVE!!
The 3 older kids went to school today.
The girls got to go over to the Cannon’s after school for lunch and play. It was great because I was able to get our house ready for Tatum’s party.
I can’t believe that Tatum is 5, the years have gone by so fast and she is growing into such a beautiful girl.
Zeke had Chess Club today.
The girls had dance class.
The whole family met at our house for dinner, we just ordered pizza. We then opened presents. She got an American Girl (generic) doll and my mom bought her the horse that goes with it. She wanted one SO bad. After presents we all met at Chuck E Cheese for games and fun. Adleigh LOVED it, she had never been there before. We ran into my friend Megan, who was there for a birthday party. Tatum disappeared and we had to drag her over to cut the cake and sing to her! I hope our girl realizes how special she is and hope much we love her!!

Friday, Feb. 5, 2010
Zeke had school today. His class earned a pizza party for good behavior, he was excited for that.
I met at Deb’s house in the morning to hang out. We ended up staying for lunch, thanks Deb!

Zeke had his Art Show at school this evening; Jed took him because the girls were so tired.
Jed had to work a late night.
Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010
It was the Stake Relief Society meeting. It was a very good talk and performance. It talked a lot about patience, which I have none of, and made me realize that with this whole job situation that it will happen when it is suppose to be and he’ll get the job that is meant for him. I am just so inpatient and want to have it NOW, but it is never on MY time table.
Jed worked, again, late tonight.

We then went over to Jed’s parent’s house to have a Thanksgiving dinner with the Buchanan side of the family. The food was MUCH better  Again; it was nice to meet some of the family members on that side that I have never met.
Photobucket
We headed down to Lehi at 4pm to meet up with Lindsey and Spencer. We got to go see their house…their HAUNTED house, hehe She spent the day making a cake for Adleigh’s birthday, it was so nice of her!! We all went to dinner at IN N OUT…it was SOOOOOO yummy!! I have missed that food, or else I am just REALLY pregnant. We then came back to their house and opened more gifts with Adleigh. The kids were so tired so we put them to bed and stayed up late talking with Lindsey and Spencer.
Photobucket

Saturday, Nov. 28, 2009
We woke to Lindsey making us WAFFLES, such a great sister and good auntie! It was very yummy. After that we decided to leave to go home because Jed wasn’t feeling too well.
I ended up driving for the first few hours so that Jed could take some medicine and let it take effect. He blames the In N Out but NO one else got sick…
We made it home 7.5 hours later and so EXCITED to be back in our own beds!

I had a Doctor’s appointment, everything is going well.
Adleigh had an appointment with Imagine, a Boulder Valley School District program. They tested her heading and good news is that her hearing is great, we just need to wait on the x-rays to come back to see if there is scar damage. Adleigh also had her speech therapy this afternoon. It went really well, for her  She is starting to open up a little more with the therapist but she still is a little shy.
Zeke went to a friend’s birthday party at Pump it Up this evening.

Jed and our 2 oldest kids had school today.
Adleigh had her appointment with Child Find (BVSD Program) and they evaluated her. They said she definitely does have a speech delay but there were no other concerns. It was nice to hear because we were really worried that something else could be wrong. They think that all of problems we were curious about were from the speech delay. So she is starting speech through the school district beginning of the year.

Everyone that has school went today!
I went to Denver for another doctor’s appointment. They did an ultrasound and found that the baby has some cysts on his brain that could indicate Down syndrome. I am so sick at this point of going to the doctor’s because every time I go I find out good news and then some other problems pops up. The doctor goes through all of the tests that I can do to find out for sure but I decide not to do anything. It really doesn’t matter to me one way or another. I would never end the pregnancy, so I figured I would deal with it when he is born. They scheduled another appointment in 4 weeks.
I had my Cookie Exchange party. It was so much fun and we all got to eat a ton of cookies. Thanks to everyone that was able to make it!!

Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2009
It was a very slow day.
Jed, Zeke and Tatum went to school.
I spent the day clean because we had family coming to stay with us for Jed’s graduation.

Thursday, Dec. 17, 2009
JED HAS GRADUATED!!!
We are all so proud of him. I couldn’t help but cry as he walked across and got his diploma and awards. He did such an amazing job. He was ALWAYS #1 on the physical tests. He bounced back between him and another guy on the shooting tests. He was a Squad Leader. He did an amazing job and I hope he knows how proud of him his family is.
Jed’s parents came into town this afternoon.
After the graduation ceremony, everyone came back to our house for dinner and dessert. It was nice to spend the evening with Jed’s parents; I could tell them were so proud of Jed.
Photobucket

Friday, Dec. 18, 2009

The kids are out of school for Winter Break!
Photobucket

Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2009
Jed went on a ride alone for Loveland Police Department. He is testing in quiet a few different cities. It is hard to get a job right now because of the economy, not many places are hiring or they are hiring for 1 position and have 300+ applicants. I know that Jed will get a job eventually BUT hoping its sooner rather than later. We thought he had a definite position in Longmont but they ended up hiring from a lateral position. So we are at square one.

Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2009
A very slow day spent the day with the kids getting ready for Christmas. They are so excited.
Tatum’s friend from pre-k actually gave us a Barbie Power Wheels Jeep that looks brand new to give to Tatum. They didn’t use it anymore and said that we could have it. Tatum wants one SO dang bad. We are so excited to give it to her.

Thursday, Dec. 24, 2009
Christmas Eve!!
We had our normal Christmas Eve program at my parent’s house. We met for dinner and had potatoes soup and meat sandwiches, then headed to the basement for our program. I played the guitar for a few songs. Zeke sang “The First Noel,” Tatum sang, “Santa Clause is coming to Town,” and Braia sang “Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer.”
All the kids got to open up their Christmas Eve PJs. We left for home around 8pm to have the kids in bed early and to finish preparing for the morning.
Photobucket

Friday, Dec. 25, 2009
We woke up early and made breakfast, the normal breakfast casserole with Orange Juice. My parents showed up to watch the kids open their presents. It was way fun this year because they are finally old enough to understand where the presents came from and who they came from. It was rather funny because every time Tatum or Braia would open a gift the other would, “You know you have to share that!” haha
All of our decorations were down and put away by 1pm today! So glad that it is all put away and I can have my house back.
We met at my parent’s house for Christmas Dinner with everyone. We opened more presents there. The kids were excited to see their cousins, they all bragged about what they received and made plans about getting together to play with each other’s toys.
Photobucket

Saturday, Dec. 26, 2009

Monday, Dec. 28, 2009
The kids are out of school again this week. What am I going to do with all of our free time!?!?
Tatum went over to Brynn’s house to play.
Jed spent the day job hunting; he is trying to get a part-time job doing anything so that we have SOME income coming in while we are waiting for a Police job. It is like a 6 month process to actually get a job, about 3-4 weeks between each hiring phase; this is seriously going to drive me CRAZY!

Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2009
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY JED!
We got married 8 years ago today. I can’t believe time has gone by so fast and here we are getting ready for baby #5. There have been a lot of changes these past few years. We are happier NOW then we ever were our first year of marriage. Marriage is so hard and I am so happy everyday for Jed and the wonderful example he is to our children.
Austin was nice enough to babysit our kids so that we were able to go out on a date! We just went to dinner and a movie. I am too tired to stay out late, so we only saw ONE movie, when normally we would have stayed out late and saw TWO!

Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2009
Jed had oral boards in Loveland today, hoping it turns out good. It is his first oral boards and we were told they never go as planned but it is a good learning session. Hopefully Jed won’t have to many more of these!

Thursday, Dec. 31, 2009
New Year’s Eve!
I had a doctor’s appointment this morning and it was so nice to have Jed home so that I could go to the appointment ALONE!
We spent New Year’s Eve home with the kids, eating some great food and playing games. We weren’t planning on staying up until midnight (mostly because I can’t make it past 9pm lately) but we did! We are excited for this New Year and hopefully everyone has a GREAT new year!!
Photobucket

Friday, Jan. 1, 2010
2010 WOW, crazy that we are already a decade into the 21st century. We really didn’t do much today. Kids are still out of school, so we are barely surviving over here!!
Photobucket

Saturday, Jan. 2, 2009
We spent the day with the kids. The kids have been so into their new stuff from Christmas that we hardly see them leave their room or the play room. Jed and I have been catching up on a couple of our shows…Dexter and True Blood!!
Week #52
January 3-9
Sunday, Jan. 3, 2010
Braia got to Primary for the first time!! She was so nervous but very excited to be a big girl now!!
We had dinner and dessert with my family.

Monday, Jan. 4, 2009
No school for half this week.
Adleigh had her first speech therapy at home today. Her new therapist, Ms. Susan, seems really great. Adleigh was a bit nervous and would hardly talk or play but hoping that she warms up in the weeks to come, I mean we have at least 9 months of this 

Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2009
Jed had an Oral Board this afternoon with Lafayette, hoping everything turns out alright.
I had my first meeting with Liberty Tax…this is going to be a LONG season!
I made my first Turkey ever! It actually turned out gross but at least now I can say I have tried or made a turkey before.

Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2009
BRAIA is FOUR years old!!
Jed had a garage door job this morning.
I took all the girls to Braia’s 4 year old doctor’s appointment today. She is officially my biggest 4 years old, weighing in at 37lbs and my TALLEST 4 years old as well, 4 inches above Zeke and Tatum were are 4. CRAZY!!
As soon as we got home from the dr. office, Tatum started to complain about her ears. I tried to ignore it but she was getting more whining about it, so I called the dr. and they had her come and she had 2 ear infections!!! Why couldn’t she have said something when we were at the dr. earlier!?!?!
Jed had an interview with Boulder Community Hospital, a security job, which he got!
Our family came over to celebrate Braia’s day, we have dinner, ice cream and cake and opened up MANY presents!!
We sure love our Bear and glad that she is a part of our family!!
Photobucket

Thursday, Jan. 7, 2009
Zeke, Tatum and Braia are back to school, yeah for me!
Braia got to bring birthday treats to share with her class, she was so excited.

Friday, Jan. 8, 2009
Only Zeke had school today.
Jed had a ride-along with the Lafayette Police Department. He has such a fun time going. He gets to ride with an officer during his whole shift.
Braia, the poor girl, had to get 5 shots today, she got her 2nd flu shot and then they decided to get some of her shots for kindergarten done now so that next year she wouldn’t need as many!
I did some Liberty interviews this evening.

Saturday, Jan. 9, 209
We went grocery shopping today.
I had more interviews for Liberty in Brighton.
We went over to our friends, the Jensen’s, and had dinner, it was so yummy! We also played a new game, Ticket to Ride, so fun, I think it has finally taken over my Settlers addiction. Uh-Oh!
