ADD-ALICIOUS'S's 1st Birthday

We had a birthday lunch for her, she LOVES sandwiches so that is what we had. I decided to give her a little sprite, just to see what she would think. She wouldn't stop drinking it but she gave a funny face after each drink, it was so cute!

Opening gifts, she really got into it and would cry if we didn't get her a present fast enough. Luckily everything we gave her happened to play music and she definitely put on a show for everyone...dancing AND singing...it was SOOOO funny, I will be posting a video on youtube...it was just the cutest little thing!

She LOVED her cake, she didn't get scared like BOO did...she didn't dunk her face like TAY-TAY did...she didn't OVER eat like BEAR did...but she did LOVE it and she ate her whole cup cake and them a couple scoops of ice cream. I always prided myself on not giving any of the kids ANY sweets until their first birthday, that way it would be a special thing to have their first piece of cake be on their first birthday BUT I have to admit that ADD-A-LICIOUS has had some before (thanks mom and dad :( but she still was excited, she actually attempted to blow out her candles as well!

Thanksgiving 2008

We are so blessed to live near my family. We always enjoy sharing Thanksgiving with them. We had originally planned on going out to Utah for Thanksgiving but things weren't working out with plans so we decided that we would just stay home for Thanksgiving and come out to Utah for the weekend. It was nice to be able to celebrate Adleigh's first Thanksgiving with my parents, they just enjoy her and of course my other kids so much. Plus, I love video taping our family holidays! Anyways, here are some pictures...Oh yea, Thanksgiving day was Adleigh's birthday, so we did let her open a gift that morning but we actually celebrated her birthday on Friday!

My little baby turns ONE!

I can't believe a year has gone by...wow time sure does fly. I remember a year ago sitting on the couch watching the boys set up the Christmas tree and HUGE-LY pregnant (so glad I am not this year :) Adleigh has been such a blessing in our family. She brings so much joy and happiness...although this past year has been bumpy...2 hospital visits, MANY ear infections, falling down the stairs while carrying her, ADDIE falling down the stairs, getting hit/pinch, kicked, knocked, slapped by her older siblings...I could definitely go on...We just love her so much. She can make you smile when you are feeling down. She is fought over by EVERYONE in this house (who gets to hold her, help her, carry her, etc.). She is ONE spoiled BEAUTIFUL baby girl!! Her are her ONE year old pictures, it was TOUGH getting one because she freaked out when the guy taking the pictures got near her and so she would NOT smile until we ALL (seriously) started singing "Rock-a-bye Bear" a Wiggles song and that got the money shot! So here is to my gorgeous (Tatum's words) baby...

Grateful November!

I was inspired by a friend to start listing something that I am grateful for each day during the month of November and I really liked it...so here goes...of course though I am starting with this week :) AND THEY ARE IN NO CERTAIN ORDER

1. My beautiful children. I love them more then life itself. I would do anything and everything for them. Although, I have really hard days with them, there is nothing else in this world I would rather be then right here with them. They make me who I am, I have only ever wanted to be a mother. My parents had high hopes for me, wanting me to be a Lawyer (only because I fought so well with them) and I always would tell them nope, I want to be a mom. I feel blessed that I got these 4 precious children to raise. I just hope that I can give them the life that my parents gave me...filled with love, support, integrity and happiness.

2. My husband. I am so thankful for him coming into my life when he did. He is everything to me. I still get excited when I know that he will be home early from work. I still enjoy staying up late watch movies that we have watched 100 times. I love the way he looks at me when I am all dressed up (even though I tell him I don't). He is such a great example to our kids. He is a good father, he loves his kids so much, he has a hard time showing it but I know that he would give up anything for them to have everything. He is such a hard worker and makes sure that our family doesn't go without. I love him so much!

3. My parents. Not sure where I would be without them. I have had my VERY HIGH ups and VERY LOW downs with them but they always stood there for me. They never gave up on me and I am so grateful that I had them as parents. I am thankful for my dad because he is my hero. He is the smartest man I know. He has taught me many life lessons. He is the GREATEST grandpa anyone would ever want. I love my mom so much. She is who I hope to be in life someday. She has such a strong personality and doesn't let anyone push her around. She stands up for what she believes in. She is the BEST role model for my daughters. She is my best friend. I hope that my parents know how much I am thankful for everything they have done for me and my family. I love them very much!

4. My sister. Gosh - Lindsey Lou...where do I begin. You have always been so nice and loving to me even when I wasn't the best big sister. You were always there to pick me up when I was down. You are the nicest little sister...you would do anything for me. Looking back, I wish that I had been nicer to you and had realized how great you really are. I am so thankful to have you in my life, you show me what it's like to be truly sincere to everyone. Lindsey loves/likes everyone and everything. She has the biggest heart. Thank you Lindsey for being an example to me.

5. My Brothers. Austin you are such a fun guy to be around. You stand up for what you know to be true. You were always such a cute kid and I loved to show you around to my friends (gosh - what has happened...just kidding). You have grown up so much this past year...you have many challenges and choices ahead of you. I just want you to know that I am behind you in whatever you choose. But I know that deep down you know what is right from wrong...you know the truth, I just hope that you can find it. I love you so much. I am so thankful to live so close to you and be able to spend time with you. My kids love their Uncle Austin! Benjamin (you will always be that to me) I am so thankful to have you as my brother. We haven't always had the best and closest relationship but I hope that you know how much I love you. I have always looked up to you. I always wanted to be around you, maybe that is why I bugged the crap out of you when we were younger. I am so grateful that we have grown closer and that we can share our lives together. I absolutely LOVE your wife and kids. I love how you have excepted Jed into our family from the very start. I just feel so blessed and lucky to have the 2 best brothers in the world!

Another gap in the life of Zeke...

Zeke lost ANOTHER tooth!! He is becoming quite gappy!

Another Hole...

Well, Zeke is now even more toothless. Those of you know that Zeke got his tooth knocked out when he turned 4, so he has had a gap for awhile now but we noticed a few weeks ago that his bottom 2 teeth were starting to become loose. Well, Jed pulled ONE of them out tonight...he wouldn't let him get the other one even though it is about ready to fall out! So I guess Zeke is now starting his "geeky" stage now...I can't wait until the teeth start growing back. Although, he will probably look soooooo weird with TWO front teeth...here are some pictures of my brave boy, who said..."I am so big...I only cried for 2 hours" haha I think he meant 2 minutes :)

BOO'S 's FIRST Basketball Game!!

It was so fun and cute going to his first game. He started out all shy and giggling instead of "playing." So I yelled in "Get the ball!" Well, something click because BOO stole the ball from ANYONE...even his own teammates, hehe...but at least he was a good defensive player. It reminded of me when I use to play, my mom would yell to me "Get mad" and for some reason it made me a better player cause I could get the ball from ANYONE. We just need to work on BOO'S shooting because he can't throw the ball in the air very high...so I guess JEDwill be spending some quality time with him practicing. Here are some pictures from today!
